The number of passengers is still falling

The count of passengers January through September of 2020 after the national and international COVID-19 travel-bans showed a fall of 66.7 pct. in the number of passengers on scheduled flights from the six international airports. This accounted to a decrease of 47,152 passengers compared to the same period last year.

Since the lifting of the national travel-ban in June and July the number of passengers have been rising. As such the number of passengers in August was the highest since the travel-ban were introduced in march.

Due to a technical glitch in Kangerlussuaq, there have been a large part of the passengers in January and February whom are of unknown origin.

 

January through September of 2020, a total of 25,205 passengers departed from the six international airports on scheduled and chartered flights, compared to the same period last year, this was a decrease of 51,823 passengers.
